oh ok
@bassallyear141 This is a swimbait, not a swim jig. Just a soft plastic swimbait rigged on a weighted hook.
did you have a skirt on the swim jig?
@ntomoo I think I was using a steady retrieve here, but I actually use both methods on occasion. You can work these things like texas-rigs and catch fish too.
Were you giving it a steady retrieve or hopping it along the bottom? Thanks. Great Video by the way!
Winter in tx is not like winter in ohio so this doesn’t help lol
@HatCamBass okay thanks
@AmericanRifleMan1997 I was using a 5-0 swimbait hook. Just an offset hook w/ a weight on the shank.
@HatCamBass Ok cool thanks; i love the live magic shad such a realistic soft bait
Oh and were you using a texas rig, carolina rig, or any rig or just a hook and wait?

@AmericanRifleMan1997 Definitely! This bait works year around…warm water temps too.
would you recomend using it in water tempatures above 50 degress? cause i live in lake norris Tennessee and the water tempature gets way up to 80 degress at surface in summer and probobaly down to 45-50 in winter
Those were all some great fish the first one jumped outta the water like shamoo! lol I’m glad to see your still catching them!
@THEJRBASSMASTER Tx
that first bass was a chunk!! i like using a jig when it gets real cold.
@ppare05 Thankfully we don’t get many freeze overs here ; )
that fish at 2:05 his fin is messed up
Great Video! I can’t wait for the spring to start back up with my hatcam and the fishing! All the open water around here is now hard water. Keep it up with the great videos!
@AWCgaming Yeah, hop it or twitch it along the bottom. Then wait a couple of seconds. Repeat. Or sometimes I will do a very slow steady retrieve. Remember, these cold water bass don’t want to exert too much energy.
